A Letter From The Founder

In this letter, I will not make the case against the Global North. Neither I will in favor of Uruguay. However, considering the irreversible reality in which the North now finds itself, we are prepared to re-imagine the dream not commonly shared or spoken of amongst Europeans, for generations, that of emigration to a New World.

Our proposition is that you follow our same path.

Our proposition is that you choose Uruguay.

A nation built in the New World by European immigrants that is content in its current state but more than happy to welcome its distant cousins home, to build together a better future. A new home that will feel more familiar than your current one.

A nation formed by a collection of Europeans melded into a unique and proud culture. By people of contemplation and calm, horse and cattle herd, computer software, and gaucho culture; whose natural past time is sharing a cup of hot tea with friends, our beloved mate.

Our proposition is significant and simple.

We serve explicitly and only for the complete onboarding of those Americans (like me) and Europeans that wish to leave their country and need assistance in recreating all aspects of life here in Uruguay.

Southern Shelter is a small firm founded by a person like you, with a specific target client. A client that is looking for a better quality of life for him and his family; but also, a person that will contribute to make Uruguay a better place.

This company is the one I wish had already been made, when I decided to move to Uruguay.
